Class Info

  This project is part of the course Understanding English Prose: "America Then and Now", held in spring 2019 at Sungkyunkwan University English department.

  The aim of the course is to obtain a critical view on the meaning of "America" as a whole, including historical, political, social and cultural aspects. By studying various types of materials that involve different perspectives or ideas upon the notion of "Americanness", students were able to develop their personal views on the controversies of American society and the changing notion of "American" which is still in process. 

  Throughout the semester, students were introduced to a wide range of materials such as literary & non-literary texts, images, works of art, films, etc.
